Remembering September 11 - And the Kindness of Gander

Today we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families forever changed by that day.

Here in our community, we also remember Gander. When planes were grounded and thousands of strangers suddenly needed somewhere to go, Newfoundlanders and Labradorians answered with open doors, warm meals, and quiet hospitality that the world still talks about.

That spirit - looking after one another - is part of who we are. From all of us at Freezerland, we hold those memories close today and remain grateful for the kindness that came from home.
